KDFS is promoted by DHAN Foundation and is registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. It is a not-for-profit organisation. DHAN Foundation specifically works for the upliftment of the poor and disadvantaged segment of the community and has been in existence for the last three decades. KDFS undertakes on-lending to self-help groups (SHGs) with the objective of bridging the gap between banks and SHGs. Currently, all SHGs promoted by DHAN Foundation can only enrol as members of KDFS.
