Lead and coordinate concept and design development efforts foroptimal solutions for the North America fulfillment network throughequipment specification, material flow, process design,ergonomics, associate experience, operational considerations andsite layout3. Lead and manage a team of talented engineers handling multipleprojects at a time4. Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and other teams to createinnovative solutions5. Simultaneously manage multiple high-visibility projects and taskswhile effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating withinternal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors6. Innovate with complex automated material handling equipment,packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics andmechatronics, across many new fulfillment and logistics centersthat are being built each year7. Provide technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineeringprojects using MS Excel, AutoCAD, and MS Project8. Work with complex MHE, packaging lines, and process designbased on Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques9. Drive engineering best practices (e.g., operational excellence,safety, security, quality, performance, etc.) and set standards forproject execution and installation management10. Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper operatortraining, procedural compliance, maintenance, and safety practicesare followed for new and existing equipment11. Build strong relationships with partner organizations within thecompany such as North America Start-up, North America Launchteam, Worldwide Design team, North America Procurement,Information Technology, Loss Prevention, Facilities, Safety,Change Management and North America Operations12. Experience must include: 1) 3 years of experience in high-volume fulfillment processes and operations. 2) 3 years of experience managing and leading a team of engineers 3) 3 years of experience with Lean manufacturing for design 4) 3 years of experience using AutoCAD or related project management software to build concepts for manufacturing processes and related facility concepts (material handling equipment optimization and strategic layout planning). 5) 3 years of experience reporting and presenting engineering analysis and recommendations to senior management on process improvements.The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $150483 - $193200 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
