Do you want to join a team that works on internet scale systems, uses cloud computing services, leverages State of The Art technologies and Gen AI tools?The Core Services team owns the charter of evaluating bad actor risk of all kinds (Buyer, Seller, Brand, Vendor) across entities such as Orders, Returns, Sign-ins, Listings and any event that will be useful to evaluate risky behavior. We build self-service capabilities to experiment and launch new use cases while making it easy to on-board and manage existing ones all over the world. We are the gate keepers of customer trust by preventing bad actors from doing damage to good customers or scamming Amazon. The problems we solve will challenge the best in terms of scale (100s of billion evaluations) and latency (think milliseconds) while operating at the lowest cost As the Software Development Engineer, you will design, enhance and maintain mission critical systems leveraging best of breed technologies with AI first mindset. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who have a hunger to learn, are righteous owners, demonstrate superior deep dive and problem-solving skills, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery.Key job responsibilities1. Work on systems protecting millions of customers daily2. Design, enhance and maintain various microservices that are part of risk evaluation systems3. Improve onboarding and operating experience leveraging Gen AI technologies4. Reduce time taken and cost of risk evaluation leveraging best of breed industry technologies5. Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems6. Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical approaches, meet timelines with optimal solutions - 5+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
