Come join us.</p></div><p>We’re looking for a <strong>Product Designer</strong> for our Customs & Trade Services team. In this role, you’ll design the tools that enable users to navigate customs, compliance, and ever-changing regulations across global shipments. You’ll drive design decisions, simplify highly complex customs processes, and help shape how technology transforms an industry undergoing significant modernisation. Your work will set a high standard for design quality, support global trade compliance, and influence the direction of products with broad impact for both customers and internal teams.</p>
<p><strong>You Will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Apply a systems-thinking mindset to design decisions, proactively addressing edge cases to deliver robust, high-impact solutions.</li>
<li>Conduct user research and gather insights.</li>
<li>Leverage AI and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and elevate design outcomes.</li>
<li>Collaborate across functions to define and execute the design vision and strategy in a complex, rapidly evolving environment.</li>
<li>Give and solicit feedback from other designers to continually raise our bar for quality.</li>
<li>Build prototypes to share and test concepts.</li>
<li>Translate deep user research into actionable requirements that champion user needs.</li>
<li>Recommend and implement enhancements to the design system for greater consistency and flexibility in customs products.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>You Should Have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>4+ years professional hands-on design experience.</li>
<li>Demonstrated influence and initiative in shaping design visions, strategies, and standards.</li>
<li>Expertise in crafting and evolving scalable interaction patterns and design systems.</li>
<li>Ability to clearly articulate your work and rationale in a dynamic, agile environment</li>
<li>Strong cross-domain knowledge with the ability to tackle complexity and provide high-level UX guidance across teams.</li>
<li>Proven collaborator with a drive for process improvement, inclusion, and continuous growth for yourself and your team.</li>
<li>A degree in HCI, UX, Interaction Design, or related fields are preferred.</li>
<li>A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.</li>
