Condukt

Senior Compliance Consultant

📍 London, 💼 –+ years🏠 On-site◷ Full Time

About the role

About Us
Condukt is the next-generation compliance platform for financial services, offering an agentic solution powered by real-time data for business identity.
Always-on and policy-aware, Condukt enables financial institutions and fintechs to gain actionable insights into business verification - unlocking growth, increasing efficiency, and strengthening compliance.
We were founded by former operators and builders with deep experience in banking, payments, and lending. Today, our team spans across London and Porto, bringing together engineers, product owners, and operators from companies like Revolut, Meta, Block (Square), SumUp, American Express, Yandex, and OakNorth.
Trusted by leading regulated entities, including Wise, Tide, Mollie, Shift4, Flatpay, and myPOS, Condukt is backed by top investors, including Lightspeed Venture Partners and MMC Ventures.
 Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Compliance Consultant to join our team in London, reporting directly to our Co-Founder & Chief Risk Officer.
This is a versatile, high-impact role at the intersection of regulation, customers, and product. Your mission is to deeply understand our customers' requirements and help Condukt build the right solutions for them, by securing relationships with data providers, company registers, and government authorities, and turning them into capabilities we can offer across our client base.
You will stay ahead of the risk and compliance landscape, translating regulatory change into clear guidance for our customers and concrete requirements for our Product team. Acting as an in-house consultant, you will connect long-term regulatory horizons with granular operational realities.
As an early-stage, fast-growing company, we value people who take ownership and are comfortable moving between very different topics. You will work closely with the founders on long-horizon, strategic work: building government relationships and expanding Condukt's global data footprint is measured in months, not weeks.
If you thrive in dynamic environments where no two days look the same, enjoy applying your intelligence to a constant stream of new and complex problems, and want to help shape how financial institutions and fintechs approach compliance, this role is for you.
 What you’ll do:
Establish and maintain relationships with government bodies, company registers, and regulatory authorities to secure access to data and expand Condukt's global footprint

Stay ahead of risk and compliance legislation across the UK, Europe, and beyond, and communicate what is on the horizon to customers, directly or alongside our commercial team

Work directly with new and existing customers to understand their requirements and design solutions combining Condukt's platform with third-party providers

Partner with Product to translate regulatory and customer needs intosignals, data, and capabilities we need to build

Identify opportunities to bring newly developed capabilities to our existing customers, working alongside our commercial team

Identify, test, and benchmark best-in-class data and service providers, assessing them through structured, RFP-style evaluations

Contribute to Condukt's thought leadership with a clear, well-argued point of view on regulation, through whitepapers, briefings, and other content

 What you bring:
Deep domain expertise in risk and compliance, ideally across KYB/KYC, AML/CFT, or business onboarding in financial services

Experience advising financial institutions on risk, compliance, or regulatory matters, and bringing a toolkit of structured frameworks you can adapt and apply in a fast-growing company

Strong background in vendor assessment and selection, including running or contributing to RFP processes

Proven ability to build trusted relationships with C-suite stakeholders and government agencies

A legal background, or solid working knowledge of financial regulation and how legislation translates into operational requirements

Sound judgement and tact in sensitive situations: you know what to communicate, to whom, and when

Analytical rigor to deep-dive complex legislation and challenge regulatory paradigms, paired with a self-starter mindset that thrives in fast-moving, high-ownership environments

 Bonus:
Professional fluency in French or other European languages

Legal qualification, or experience in government relations or regulatory affairs

Prior experience in fintech, banking, payments, or compliance infrastructure environments

Early-stage startup experience, or a strong appetite for building in fast-moving environments

  Our offer:
Tackle meaningful problems with real-world impact

Competitive salary and equity package

Flat hierarchy with direct access to the founders

Top-of-the-line equipment

Private health insurance, plus sick and compassionate leave as needed
